Step 5: With a fine brush and some white paint, add some texture on the front sepal and cut out a yellow beard to position over this area. Then, cut and place a lighter petal on top. Finally, with the fine brush and the violet paint, add any other details needed to finalize the collage.

Freesia

Freesia is a genus of about fourteen species, all of which are native to Africa. They have a very strong fragrance, and the brighter the color, the stronger the scent. This perennial flower blooms in spring, at temperatures below 69°F (21°C). These brightly colored, highly scented flowers attract bees, which are in turn responsible for their pollination. They are named after nineteenth-century German botanist and doctor Friedrich Freese, who studied these plants. Freesias are supposed to symbolize innocence, friendship, and thoughtfulness.
